Ski Travel Specialists has been selling skiing and boarding holidays for over 25 years. We Specialise in individual travel arrangements for snow enthusiasts and we wish to provide you with our very personal knowledge of overseas ski resorts, as we’ve seen it, we’ve stayed there, we’ve skied it, we’ve enjoyed it! We believe no other company in New Zealand can offer such a professional team of consultants who are solely dedicated to the sale of Snow Holidays.
Our knowledge is better than any Internet site and we are much easier to chat to. Much of our agency’s success is due to the team’s firsthand knowledge of the many ski fields throughout the world.
We are a TAANZ bonded and IATA accredited Agency so importantly your holiday funds are secure and are proud to be part of the trusted First Travel group.
I head the ski team of Ski Travel Specialists. Having been in the Travel Industry for over 30 years I bring a great deal of general travel knowledge to Ski Travel. My first 10 years in the industry were with Thomas Cook Travel in Tauranga, Wellington and Auckland looking after both leisure and corporate clients and in 1981 I opened Millbrook Travel.
As a keen skier, I recognised that there were no specialists in New Zealand selling purely skiing holidays so in 1991 I purchased Ski Travel Specialists and set about establishing the Ski Agency as the number one Ski specialist in New Zealand.
Its become a personal mission (someone has to do it!) to visit as many new ski resorts I can each year and to also re-visit and update myself on some of our popular resort. Management, accommodation and new developments can change a resort’s feel very quickly. Many repeat clients are the first to agree it’s my knowledge of the resorts makes all the difference when they plan their ski holidays.
After all these years I’m still passionate about my job and look forward to making sure your next ski holiday meets all your expectations, so give me a call.
During my last 27 years working in the travel industry I’ve been wowed by holidays to many wondrous places, with stunning scenery, experienced multiple cultures and have meet fascinating people from all walks of life. I have many precious memories and stories to tell, and with each passing holiday the travel bug grows.
My love of snow skiing and those memories are some of the best – for me there is nothing more exhilarating than skiing a pristine run, kissed with fresh powder snow untouched by another skier, with a clear blue sky above, wide open bowls or evenly spaced glades and uncrowded slopes.
I have skied in North America on the powdery slopes of Marmot Basin, Lake Louise, Sunshine Village, Big White, Silver Star, Whistler and Blackcomb. The warmth of the Canadian people, the ambience of the resorts, the open fireplaces, and beauty of the Rockies, the luxury of ski in/ski out accommodation, skiing through a village, and the sight of snow ghosts…it’s all truly magical.
I look forward to sharing these experiences with you and tailoring your perfect ski holiday – dovetailing your abilities and requirements with a location where you too can experience the exhilaration and wonder of the world of skiing.
I have just returned to the travel industry after a seven year absence. My last three years were spent as an Executive Assistant in a large corporate company co-ordinating various arrangements including all their travel bookings. I am delighted to have returned to the travel world that I know and love!
There is nothing more satisfying or enjoyable than investigating new destinations, airline routings or new products to suit you, as client’s specific requirements and ensuring even detail is covered. During my 17 years of travel experience I’ve enjoyed time as a consultant and manager and found it was the personal experience and knowledge imparted, that made all the difference to a holiday and / or business trip.
I have been fortunate enough to have travelled extensively throughout Australia, South Pacific and Asia plus some travel to South America, USA, UK & Europe and look forward to doing more. Of late, I have become more interested in niche holidays such as: skiing, game fishing and cruising.
When not at work I enjoy time skiing, camping and bike riding with my lovely husband and three boys.
